Erika C. Esnard: A Life Dedicated to Compassionate Care

I’m Erika C. Esnard and it is an honor to meet you.

I bring together the clinical expertise of a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, the sacred presence of a death doula, the grounded wisdom of a hospice and palliative care RN, and an integrative perspective of a psychedelic consultant

My work is rooted in two powerful frameworks Logotherapy, the meaning-centered approach pioneered by Viktor Frankl, and Conscious Existential Healing, a philosophy centered on meeting life’s deepest questions with radical honesty, presence, and intention, and the Zen Buddhist perspective, which teaches us to embrace impermanence, find stillness in uncertainty, and meet death not as an ending but as a natural and sacred part of life.

The Philosophy of Conscious Dying & Aging

I believe that how we age and how we die is not separate from how we live. It is the direct result of it.

When we begin addressing quality of life in our 30s, 40s, and 50s when we start asking the deeper questions about meaning, purpose, and what truly matters we lay the foundation for an end of life marked not by regret and fear, but by peace, alignment, and completion.

And when those who are dying or transitioning are supported with compassion, presence, and intention, something remarkable happens beyond them the people they leave behind are transformed too. Grief becomes less prolonged. Trauma decreases. And survivors, having witnessed a conscious and peaceful transition, begin to release their own fear of death. They learn firsthand that it is possible to leave this world with grace.

This ripple effect is at the heart of everything I do.

Informed by the Zen Buddhist perspective, I believe in training the mind, not just at the end of life, but throughout it in order to embrace impermanence, sit with uncertainty, and remain present in every season. A mind that is prepared is a mind that is free.

Guided by Logotherapy and the search for meaning pioneered by Viktor Frankl, I believe that a life lived with purpose one where we truly know why we are here is a life that ends with far fewer regrets.

And through the lens of Conscious Existential Healing, I hold space for the questions most people never get to ask out loud. The ones that, when finally spoken, have the power to change everything.

This is not just a philosophy. It is a way of living and a way of leaving that everyone deserves access to.

You are not alone

Let’s Begin a Conversation

You don’t have to have it all figured out to reach out. You don’t need the right words or a clear explanation of what you’re looking for. You just need to take one small step.

Whether you’re ready to dive in or simply curious about whether this work is right for you, or not, I’d love to hear from you. There is no pressure, no obligation, and no judgment. Just a conversation between two humans about what matters most.

Let’s talk about what’s possible.
